For many years I have used Poser software for digital models. It's a very nice software for creating poses from scratch and there is lots of free content from past versions. However, they are kind of expensive and complicated. I recently found out that DAZ 3D offers their core software free and some content. You have to buy a lot of the content, but for the casual user this is cheaper than buying a full version of Poser. DAZ 3D works a lot like Poser and you just have to learn their version of how to pose digital models. In some ways it is simpler than Poser. It is also compatible with Poser models since it is actually an offshoot of the Poser software.
