So I've been looking into the YouTube app problem and here's what I have found. I've shut off my regular Youtube app and installed ProTube. ProTube doesn't have multi-windows function. Pro-Tube seems to run just fine and doesn't crash. However, when I exit out of the app and leave it on the task bar when the battery is unplugged and around 25%, it crashes when I open a multi-window on any app and rotate the tablet. The problem goes away when the ProTube app is closed completely or when the tablet is plugged in. So I think this is a bug with kitkat 4.4.2, video streaming apps, and Samsung's multi-windows. I've read several posts from other people who are having trouble with their YouTube app after the 4.4.2 OS update to their Note Pro 12.2 tablets. I've also been seeing posts on the XDA developers forum about people having trouble streaming with Chromecast. There appears to be a bug with Touchwiz and the Google streaming apps that causes the Samsung tablets to crash. So the YouTube app has both problems because it is a video streaming app and has multi-windows function which is causing it to crash with kitkat 4.4.2. Now I'm not a expert on Android programming, but this seems to be a likely explanation from what I've read on the XDA developers forum.
