Nirut Tamchoo posted recently on YouTube a direct painting comparison between the Wacom Cintiq Hybird and the 2014 Galaxy Note 10.1. It clearly shows how much better within LayerPaint the painting performance and file loading is on the Galaxy Note with regard to large files. CCHybrid vs Note2014CCHybrid Paint TestNote2014 Paint TestMuch of the difference might be attributed to the Note having 3GB and RAM vs the CCHybrid's 2GB of RAM. However the Note has a much higher resolution LCD display that likely negatively affects its performance as well. I admit I have been looking into getting a CCHybrid since I like it's screen size and build quality compared to flimsy/plastic feel on my Note2014. However after seeing this video comparison, I more skeptical on the value of the CCH. Finally, since The Note 4 has a much improved Stylus, it seems likely a future Note tablet will eclipse the CCH and perhaps explains why Wacom has quickly dropped the Android version of their tablet. IMHO it seems that for now the best Android based art tablet right now would be the Note 12.2 Pro LTE.

That's really interesting about those two tablets. I wondered how the Wacom hybrid compared to the Note tablets. I love my Note Pro 12.2. The bigger screen size is excellent for drawing and painting and it has a fast processor so it handles large files easily plus it has a 64 GB version. Another reason I like the Note Pro 12.2 so much is because when I use the Splashtop Remote Desktop HD app, it doesn't compact the view of my desktop PC and I can use my big painting programs like Corel Painter just like they appear on my desktop. The price has gone down a lot on the Note Pro 12.2 too, so it is more affordable now. I do most of my painting and drawing on this tablet now and use my smaller Note tablets for sketching while traveling.
