Wasn't planning on buying a new tablet anytime soon (recently got a Note4), but this is hard to pass up! Any thoughts on how this one performs with art apps in comparison to other Note tablets? ....Hoping Ellie might see this

I have the older 10.1 and I like it a lot. I think the 2014 one is comparable to the Note 12.2 in performance and I would say get it. Any of the Note tablets are worth having. If you want something more portable than the Note 12.2, but large enough to do serious work the 10.1 is good. It runs all the android art apps just fine from what I have heard from other artists and that is a good price. It also has a high resolution screen too. If I didn't already have a 10.1 Note, I would get it at that price, ha ha!

Andrei Lanuza is a really good artist and he uses a 2014 Galaxy Note 10.1. He uses LayerPaint HD and ArtFlow for his work. Here is his google plus page. google.com/+AndreiLanuza

Wow, if that was the deal that the Android Police were talking about, it was sold out before the sale ended. However they are having some pretty good deals on refurbished 2014 Note 10.1 and 12.2 tablets at Amazon.com. All of my Samsung tablets have been refurbished or used-like new and I've had good luck so far.

There is a refurbished 2014 Note 10.1 for around $318 right now at Amazon. Don't know how long it will be up, but if you're still interested that's a good price.
