There are a couple of free reference apps for your PC that are very helpful for artists. One is called RefBoard and you can load several photo references in the window and even save that group as a file. It floats above all other apps and you can zoom in with the scroll button on your mouse. It's a very nice app, but unfortunately the scroll button function for zoom does not work when you are connected to Splashtop Desktop Remote HD. So the one I use is called Deskpins. This app will pin any window to your screen and keep it from minimizing so that you can use any photo viewer for your photo references. One of the nicest photo viewers is XnView. It's free and it has a function like Windows Explorer and a simple photo editor. The zoom function works nicely with Splashtop and I have been using it with Deskpins as a photo ref viewer for my paintings.
